Dresdner Bank employees will be integrated into the company pension scheme of Commerzbank

• Previously acquired pension claims to be retained in full

• Sieber: "In future all employees will acquire pension claims on a common basis"


As of 1 January 2010 Commerzbank will transfer the company pension scheme for all employees of the former Dresdner Bank AG in Germany to the pension system of Commerzbank. Calculative entry date to the pension system of Commerzbank is in principle the entry date to the pension system of Dresdner Bank. Previously acquired pension claims will be retained in full.

Ulrich Sieber, Member of the Board of Commerzbank responsible for Human Resources and Integration: "The harmonization of the pension scheme is a further milestone in the integration process. In the future all employees of the new Commerzbank will acquire pension claims on a common basis." The company pension scheme at Commerzbank covers the areas old-age pension, invalidity pension and surviving dependants¿ pension. Based on its contribution system, the scheme is regarded as being particularly future-proof.
