Prerequisites for digital guarantee management
  • All parties involved (applicant, guarantor and, if applicable, beneficiary) enter into a contract with DVS and the respective guarantor.
  • All parties have secure access to the Guarantee Vault Platform via web interface.
  • To get connected via the Guarantee Vault platform, applicants need to submit a connection request to the guarantor. Only authorised and activated users can initiate orders, instruct modifications and/or claims/removals via the platform.

Three steps to digital guarantee management

Step 1

Contract with Digital Vault Services GmbH (DVS)

You enter into a contract with DVS for use of the Guarantee Vault Platform, accepting the terms of use.

Step 2

Contract with Commerzbank

You enter into a user agreement with Commerzbank for sending guarantee orders via the Guarantee Vault Platform.

Step 3

Technical connection on the Guarantee Vault

Using the Guarantee Vault Platform, you submit a connection request to Commerzbank which will be approved by the Bank.

How to use the Guarantee Vault Multi-Guarantor Platform

Step 1

Submitting guarantee orders:

Submit your orders for issuance or modifying guarantees to Commerzbank via the Guarantee Vault Platform.

Step 2

Applicant receives the guarantee

Once the guarantee has been issued, a copy of the guarantee certificate is uploaded and made available to the applicant.

Step 3

Guarantee also provided in digital form

Domestic guarantees can also be provided to beneficiaries in digital form, via the platform. Digital cross-border guarantees will be facilitated at a later stage.
